Chalet bellow Studnicni Mtn.

Chalet bellow Studnicni Mtn. is located on the meadow where Ruzovy dul (Pink pit) ends and Obri dul (Giant pit) begins. Its formal name was Sparkling creek but for the last 60 years it has been called and known as Chalet bellow Studnicni Mountain. Both names are truthful. Giant Studnicni Pit, glacial circue countersunked into the masive 1554 m high mountain, frames marvellous scene for one of the longest populated places in Pec pod Snezkou.

Original building stood on the other side of the small meadow. This place has been forever tied with miners and farmers of family Mitlöhner. Around 1830 Mr. Mitlöhner built a new cottage that production of skies with trademark "Mitlöhner-Riesenhain" brought fame to 70 years later. His skies were the best for fourty years in Kronose Mountains. In 1929 the cottage was rebuild into a guest house and wooden interior with details made by wood master Mitlöhner delight us to this day.

Mountain chalet "Pod Studnicnou" offers accommodation in double to five bedded rooms. Some rooms have their own bathrooms, other rooms share bathrooms located on the floor. Breakfast for our guests is served as a bufet.

If you do not prefer to watch Sat-Tv in the common room, you might enjoy Russian tenpins in the garden or traditional billiard inside of the chalet or in our new common room table tennis.

During the summer time parking is available right beside the house. During the winter months guests may park at the guarded parking lot "U Kaplicky" in Pec pod Snezkou and walk to Ruzovy dul (it takes 20 minutes). Your luggage will be transfered free of charge.

Skibus stop is nearby and the lower station of the cableway to Snezka, that you can see from our house, is only 10 mintes away just like the skilift for beginners.

After the reconstruction of the last bridge, damaged during the flooding, guests will be able to reach the chalet easily even on the way from Obri dul and enjoy the beautiful scenery and refreshments from our summer terace. You will be greeted by our good Bernese mountain dog called Berta.
