Martinova bouda (Martin’s Cottage)

The mountain hotel Martinova bouda** is located in the very heart of the Giants Mountains in 1.300 m above the sea level in one of the main tourist crossings. It is ideal starting point for
mountain hikes all year long. Individual and group entertainment is good as family holiday here. Business workshops and winter school skiing courses are very popular as well.

One of the oldest Krkonoše cottages founded in 1642. In 1795 renewed by Martin Erlebach as the important centre of Czech patriotism in the Krkonoše. Martin’s cottage is associated with famous tennis player Martina Navrátilová, whose father was a cottage keeper. The father named his daughter after the cottage, and she spent there a few years of her childhood.
