You'll find everything from the submontane to the alpine level. The mountains' flora and fauna is also home for 21 endemic plants and animals that can only be found here. The slopes and valleys are mostly covered with mixed, primeval and spruce forests and run through by countless creeks and rivers. The Isera, Labe and Aupa rivers that rise up in the hills, the alpine peaks around the Snezka (1602 m), the nordic tundra and the raised bogs are beauties of nature, unique to Central Europe.
