Cog railway Tanvald - Korenov - Harrachov

The cog railway from Tanvald via Korenov to Harrachov started its operation in 1902 and is the steepest railway in the Czech Republic. In 1992 the railway was declared a cultural technical monument by the of the Czech Republic's Ministry of Culture.
The ride offers stunning views of the beautiful nature scenery in every season. It also give us the chance to learn about the skills of our ancesters who built the railway 100 years ago without today's technical possibilities. Open all-year, during the main summer and winter seasons there is a bus in addition to each train.
