Downhill skiing in Krkonose Mountains

The Krkonose Mountains have the most visitors during the winter season, when the downhill skiers arrive. Besides the big ski-areas in Harrachov, Spindleruv Mlyn, Janske Lacne and Pec there are also smaller ski-areas to draw guests.
Many special slopes and ski-schools make it easy for beginners to join the fun on skis and snowboards. But the many "red" and "black" pistes will also get advanced skiers their money's worth.
Moderate prices for accomodation, food, drinks and lifts add to the region's overall attractivity.
Tourist season:
The winter season starts end of November/beginning of December. Christmas and New Years definitely mark the peak season of the Krkonose Mountains.
As accomodation is scarce during this time of the year, it is highly recommended to book in advance!
The best time for winter sports is from January to the beginning of March.

Skibuses shuttling skiers free of charge between their hotels/B&B and ski resorts are available in bigger ski centers. Timetables for skibuses are available in information centers, in hotels/B&B and at the bus stops.
